Lisa Murkin
Senior Product Manager – Product- How long have you been with Elsewhen, and what brought you to the company?
I joined Elsewhen in January 2023. With prior experience at Accenture, I was drawn back to consulting after working in house for many years because I wanted a more driven, fast paced environment. I liked how Elsewhen covers both Discovery to Delivery and has a focus on tangible outcomes not just ideas or features. When I read some of the case studies, I found the variety of projects interesting and it would offer some new challenges to get stuck into.
- What are you most passionate about in your work?
Adding value to users. Product is sometimes seen as a vehicle for getting engineers to build features, whereas I see it as the opportunity to dig into pain points and understand why they exist and work with the team to solve it. I’ve noticed sometimes clients are so keen to get into the development or stuck in existing ways of working, that there can be a gap in which I can help ask questions and establish focus. The variety of industries, projects and clients also enables continuous learning and exposure to new ideas.
- What is one thing you're excited about for the future of Elsewhen?
I'm particularly excited about the combination of growth and innovation. As a dynamic agency with a deep understanding of AI and the latest technologies, we're poised to embark on a wave of innovative greenfield projects in the coming year. As we continuously learn and evolve, there’s going to be lots of new opportunities to engage with.
- What do you like to do outside of work?
I love finding hidden gems in charity shops during lunch breaks or on the way back from a weekend Hot Yoga class. Aside from that I’ve often got an interior decoration project on the go, having recently moved house outside of London.
